//Film

Below are some of the short bits of film that I'm most proud of.

There's something of everything - sports montages, promotional videos, film trailers - I hope you see something you like.

//Slovenia Outdoor Adventure

// I made this sports montage in April 2012 after a school trip to Slovenia. We spent a week kayaking, mountain biking, canyoning and rafting in the Bovec region - all of which were challenging and fun activities.

//Movember promotion video

// This project took place in November 2012, to help raise awareness of the Movember charity at Zurich International School. I sent my script to a professional voice actor, Jason Stephens, who did the voice over for the video. The video only took two days to produce, and roughly three hours to edit.

//Macbeth - The Horror Movie - Trailer

// In my tenth grade English class, during the month of January 2012, a classmate and I made a trailer for the Shakespearean play Macbeth. We had been analysing the play for several weeks, and were set the task of re-creating the play's narrative in an original setting. We decided to choose the slasher/horror genre.

it took a few weeks to plan, film, and edit the whole video, and it was well received by our teacher and other classmates. Additionally, we also made a poster to emphasise the genre we chose.

//Crossbar Challenge Video

// I took a digital journalism class in tenth grade, and in May 2012, I worked with two other classmates to do the project. Contacted all the Varsity and Junior Varsity football players in our school, and asked them to meet on the field over one lunch break. We used a DSLR and a GoPro to film the to different angles. I then edited the movie over a few afternoons before it was submitted.

//Trampoline montage

// This was a short, fun project I made with a few friends one afternoon in May. We were experimenting with the new GoPro HD Hero 2's 120 frames-per-second mode. Although the footage was not in High Defenition, we got some interesting shots to use slow-motion effects on. It took several hours to edit, partially with a friend, partially by myself.

// Freestyle is a Swiss extreme sports festival that happens every year at the end of September. I had just gotten my GoPro HD Hero, and wanted to see how it performed when capturing footage from action that was further away. I also tried editing the footage with a Sony Vegas trial instead of Adobe Premiere Elements 7.0.

//Every Step Counts - ZIS supports ACST

// There were political protests and riots in Tunisia in September 2012, and the American Cooperative School of Tunis was devastated in the process. Zurich International School wanted to show their support by hosting a sponsored walk on our various campuses. The event was filmed, and the final video was sent to the school in Tunis.

//Time lapse - December 2012

// I used my GoPro HD Hero to create this two and a half day time lapse of the view from my balcony. I set my GoPro to take a photo every ten seconds, and I then stitched the images together at high speed to create the final product.

I had to keep my GoPro plugged in for the whole session so it had enough power, which meant it could not be in its waterproof case. I had to seal it inside a different plastic box to shield it from the snow. The image quality on the first GoPro is rather low, at 5 Megapixels, which is rather low at today's standards.
